Specialized Wound Care

Wound care is in-home care for patients with all types of difficult-to-heal wounds due to a chronic or acute illness.  These may include treatment for surgical incisions, pressure sores, or skin ulcers.  In these instances, wound care from specially trained nurses can make all the difference.  Their expert intervention with advanced therapies can get patients back on track.

A nurse will evaluate the wound and take a baseline digital photograph for examination by other wound-care specialists. Throughout the patient’s recovery, a nurse cares for the patient, and with permission, maintain a photographic record of the progress of the wound. Patient results will vary depending on the severity and type of wound.
