Lifeline (Personal Emergency Response System)

This is a way for the elderly to extend independence in their own homes.  Lifeline service from Masonicare Partners Home Health & Hospice offers easy, instant access to help, even if you can’t get to the phone, by wearing a wireless call-device 24 hours a day.  If you fall or need medical help right away and can’t reach the phone, simply press the button on the call-device.  A signal will be transmitted to an in-home monitor that will connect to an operator who can immediately dispatch emergency help.
 
Lifeline Services – How it Works

  • A wireless wrist or pendant call-device is worn. 
  • A button on the device allows you to talk to an operator who can summon an emergency response.
  • Lifeline operators contact the ambulance, rescue, or fire station closest to your home.  Operators can also contact your nearest family member.
  • Lifeline operators may offer self-help instructions and will remain in contact with you until emergency responders arrive.
  • There is a monthly fee for this service.
